Mesa is a quick 15 minute drive from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
 

Today visit the Queen Creek Olive Mill, Arizona’s only family-owned and operated working olive mill and farm where olives are grown and pressed for the production of high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Visitors can enjoy a full-length tour and tasting. Enjoy a traditional American family farm and 300-acre peach orchard at Schnepf Farms. Annual events include the Pumpkin & Chili Festival (Oct), Peach Festival (May) and Blossom Festival (Feb).
 

As you leave Mesa, head north to Williams and watch the terrain change from saguaro cactus and open spaces, to ponderosa pine, and Arizona’s tallest peaks. A small town nestled in the pine country of northern Arizona, Williams offers countless things to see and do. The train enthusiast can ride the Grand Canyon Railway through Arizona’s high country. Route 66 history buffs can explore more than six blocks of historic buildings and shops bursting with memorabilia. Arizona visitors can discover yet another reason to love the state. Outdoor adventurers will have trouble deciding between the numerous outdoor activities, from fishing and hiking to camping and horseback riding. And wildlife devotees will discover a whole new world as they traverse the roads and trails through Bearizona Wildlife Park. Travelers of all walks of life will find welcoming accommodations in the historic motor lodges that line Route 66 as well as the recently refurbished Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. Heading out of Williams to Page, you’ll venture across I-17 to Flagstaff, and watch the changing landscape as you head due north on 89 and marvel at the San Francisco peaks to the left, Wupatki National Monument to the right, and the Painted Desert all around. Driving Distance: 290 KM
 

The nearby town of Page, Arizona, straddling the border of Utah and Arizona, is the gateway to Lake Powell, popular for houseboating, fishing, kayaking and rafting. Plan to visit Antelope and Navajo canyons, Rainbow Bridge National Monument and Horseshoe Bend, one of the most photographed curves in the Colorado River. For a truly memorable experience, take a helicopter or hot-air balloon ride to see it all from above.
 

Enjoy once more the scenic views of Lake Powell before continuing your journey. The drive from Page to Tusayan takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, covering around 140 miles. Enjoy the scenic drive through the vast landscape of Northern Arizona. Driving Distance: 150 MI / 240 KM
 

Tusayan (pronounced Too-Say-Ann) is located one mile from the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim Entrance, and both are open yearround. A variety of lodging and 15 restaurants from Coffee Shops to Fine Dining are located within a half mile of each other. At an elevation of 6612 ft. (2015 m) you can enjoy mild temperatures in the summer and snow play in the winter. The Kaibab National Forest, which surrounds Tusayan, has hiking & biking trails, wildlife viewing and spectacular stargazing…no light pollution here. The Grand Canyon sunrises and sunsets are amazing!
 

Finish your journey in Phoenix. Sunny days and comfortable temperatures are the rule November through April, making this time the most enjoyable and popular time of year to visit. Vacation resorts are plentiful throughout the valley and the most popular outdoor activities are golfing, hiking, hot air ballooning, day spas, and private day trips. Driving Distance: 400 KM
